Sense Me Base

The “Sense Me” base uses soft fabric cloths to capture and hold your scent. Your maternal odor extends the bonding process when you are not physically there. The sense of smell is one of the earliest senses to develop while babies learn parental recognition by breathing and smelling amniotic fluid that contains the scent of the mother’s food and of herself. Given tight connections between the memory part of the brain and smell, capturing your familiar scent is a powerful way to strengthen the bond with your baby while promoting emotional soothing, helping the baby’s distress, and supporting early parent recognition.
